Now this is posing. Corina says she's "a Matrix" when she wears this coat.

Here is the very first race. Max is watching his car come down the track. Can you tell how it's going by the look on his face?
He ended up coming in last place. That's last out of every single Cub there. Poor little monkey! (And what a nice sister he has.) By the fifth race he had decided not to be sad anymore, and we just laughed about his silly car. We pretended the point of the race was to defy gravity and have the car that refused to move down the track. And that means Max won!
He did get an award though. They gave five awards for the best looking car. Yay! In the end looks are all that matter anyway, right?

This is what you see right outside our museum. How pretty is that? HOW??? Those are the coulees. Corina calls them the pretties.
Wednesday was Max's cub car rally with his pack. He came in first for his age group and got a gold medal. Yay! Tomorrow is the huge rally with hundreds of kids. We're not expecting a medal there, but we know we're getting hot dogs. Those are almost as good.

And just because it's cute, here are Max and Corina working together on Max's cub car. They're such a good little team.

I caught a glimpse of Otrivin at the drugstore the other day, and it gave me such a weird feeling. I felt like I was a kid again in my mom's room, watching her sniff it. She did that a lot. It's not just that it reminded me of her, but more like the bottle looked like her. Does that make sense? Anyway, that got me thinking about all the things that remind me of my mom. And there they are. I love her.

She's only five years old, and she has already developed the most awesome sense of humour ever. She totally kills me.

Here's a legal way to get high. Well, I think I was high. I don't know a lot about these things. I don't get to rest when I'm sick now that I'm a grownup, so I bought Tylenol Cold Daytime today to keep me going. There may be meth in it. I could hardly close my eyes long enough to blink, I was shaking a little, and I felt like I was running on the inside. Now and then I may have been hyperventilating. Is that better than having a bad cold? I'm not so sure, but I'll take another one tomorrow before I make my final decision. And then I'll shave my head and go to rehab.
