The world knows of my love for Lost. It's at least as great as my love of teleporting and time traveling and stopping time and slowing time and all the rest. There are not words to describe my feelings about last night's episode. You combine my two greatest loves and I just about have an an Eloise aneurysm. My nose is bleeding!
Here's something. Jack, Kate, Hurley, and Sawyer were all with the Others when Desmond turned the key, releasing the electromagnetic charge. Sayid was over that way too, wasn't he? I think he was there at that time. They wouldn't have been affected by the charge in the same was as the people on the beach who were nearly hit with the door of the hatch. That means those five can get off the island, because they haven't had the exposure that leads to problems with time. Desmond of course had huge exposure, and Daniel had all that radiation in his experiments in 1996. So probably that's why Jack, Kate, Sayid, and Hurley were able to get off the island. Sawyer is probably one of the other Oceanic 6, unless he decided not to leave. The rest of the people can't leave the island unless they have a constant, or they'll end up with their brains exploding as well. Right? RIGHT?
I'm not sure any of you care about this, but I do. I really really do.

Max had his first real basketball game last week, and tonight was the first one I was able to go to. It was so much fun! Max did such a good job. Here are some short videos of him being awesome. By the way, these four videos are all in one period. He's getting the rebounds, he's....doing other basketball stuff...
He's wearing orange, and he's number 18. In the first video he's the one getting the rebound. You'll probably be able to find him in the rest of the videos just fine.

The government of Alberta has an awards program to honour awesome kids, and my kids are kind of awesome. Here is Corina's nomination letter from her teacher.
And here is Max's letter from his teacher. He also has one from the principal, but this one is my favourite. It's his citizenship award letter doing double duty.
If they win, they go to a special ceremony in Edmonton. If they don't win, they have lovely letters from their teachers and they are still incredibly great kids.

This is something we used to play all the time when I was a kid. It would start off as the choo-choo train, with our feet just going back and forth, but it always turned into a battle.

The kids' school had Friendship Day on Wednesday, where they went from class to class doing different activities to help them learn how to be good friends. Corina made this little friendship bag in one of the classes. She was so cute when she read it to me that I made her do it again so I could get it on tape.
The person at the door was looking for a Block Parent to help her because she was locked out of her house. Being a Block Parent is being a good friend too! Very fitting.

That's the principal reading the letter about how great Max is, and the other guy is Max's teacher. He's the one who wrote the letter.

When I was a kid, people used to tell me that one day I'd have bad kids like me, and then I'd know what I put everyone through. I'll never know! I'll never know! Look forward to another post tomorrow about how great my children are. We have something exciting happening!

Corina bought herself a new outfit for her cow, and then they posed together beautifully. Awww...
Today we went for a classy breakfast at Denny's. Sitting beside us were 5 guys, each about 20 years old, who were here on holidays from Scotland. Or maybe Ireland. I'm not sure, but what I am sure of is I could hardly understand a word they said. They thought the hash browns were shredded onions and were scared to try them, which was funny. Everything about them was funny. I like laughing at people who are different.
Like my kid:
And he was delicious.

I dreamed I was at their concert last night. I was in the front row, and the first song was Tonight. I was standing in front of Donnie, and I couldn't get him to look even remotely in my direction. Only Danny would look at me. It was a nightmare! My heart was breaking.

Monday is 100 Day at school. The kids are supposed to bring in 100 of something. Often kids bring in really lame things, like 100 Cheerios or 100 Pokemon cards.
When Max was in grade one, he collected 100 of my hairs, drew a picture of me, and then attached the hairs to it. Creepy and awesome at the same time! The next year he made a picture out of 100 of Corina's handprints.
Not to be outdone by her brother, Corina made her first 100 Day collection this week.
Cutest thing ever! She's still covered in lipstick in the picture.
