Fresh Prince on the Block

I went on a date with a guy from Fresh Prince years ago. Turns out he didn't have a good time.

Look Who Santa Brought For Me!!!!!

Now don't all come visiting at once. My house is small.

My Children are Naughty

Here we are making a gingerbread house and gingerbread men together.

I've raised them this way, so it's not really their fault.

It Ain't Christmas Without a Paper Hat

We always had crackers with paper hats in them when I was a kid, and that's one of the traditions I've carried over with my kids. I kept my hat on for many hours. When the kids started making fun of me for it, I told them there had been a competition for who could keep their hat on all night, and the prize was $50. The person who kept theirs on for the shortest length of time had to pay the winner. Part of the fun was not telling them about the competition ahead of time. Sucks to be you, Corina!
I let the kids decide on every item on our menu for Christmas dinner. They did a good job and picked very appropriate Christmas foods, right down to the Mountain Dew in wine glasses.
This is what happens to people after they eat a turkey. Jus' makes 'em tar'd. It's the turkey's final revenge. Totally fair.
The kids left this afternoon to have Christmas with their dad, so I am now on Alone Time. So far so good.
When I'm home alone, there's no one to talk to in my Grapes of Wrath accent. But it's awright. S'pose I wore my brains out. I think the next book I read needs to have proper grammar.

Our Little Christmas

We've had a lovely day! Our turkey is almost ready, and then we're going to...well, eat it. Neat idea, eh?

These are the presents from Nana and Papa, who live on the other side of the country and count on our blog to know that we're alive. These are new-fashioned cd players. They also play ipods. Who knew??
The only thing Corina asked for this Christmas was "something to help me remember Donnie". She liked this awfully much...
See her cool Madonna gloves, wristband, and clip on earrings? Yep, I'm the best present giver.
Here's Corina opening her Donnie present:

Nana and Papa...this video was taken for you, so you can see them opening their presents.

Merry Christmas!

Bet You Didn't Know It's Christmas Eve!

Tomorrow is Christmas at our house. Tonight we will all pretend we believe in Santa, and he'll come give us presents. That's how not believing in Santa works. It's a pretty sweet deal. Look forward to lots of pictures and videos of my kids in their jammies!

The kids were wrestling this afternoon. Corina usually ends up getting hurt, but she still likes to do it. This time was no different. She got hurt, but I liked it. That's because she yelled out, "OWWWW! My booty bone!"

Lady Gaga Performance

Lady Gaga opened for New Kids at the shows we went to, and Max and Corina totally loved her. We even got to watch her do soundcheck in Calgary. (Thanks, boyfriend!) I bought her cd The Fame for the kids for Christmas, but we/I couldn't wait that long and we've already opened it.

Corina prepared a performance for me. Can you tell which ones are the real Lady Gaga?

Northside Children's Choir

Corina is in a children's choir, and they sang Christmas songs yesterday at City Hall. These two songs were my favourites. It's very impressive when such young kids can sing in parts. They did a great job!

Max playing trumpet in band

Here are Max and his best friend Brenden right before the concert. Brenden got braces the day before the concert and couldn't really play, so he just had to fake it. It's too bad, because they are the two best trumpets in the band.
These kids just picked up their instruments for the first time 3 months ago, so they're doing awfully well!

It's hard to see Max in this. Trumpets sit at the back, he was slumped in his seat, and his hair covers his face. If you're looking for him, he's pretty much centred, he's toward the back, and all you can see of him is hair. At the end I taped them as they got up to walk away, so that's the only proof he was there.

Good job Max!!

I Got My Wedding Dress

I look prettier than in real life, but that's what photos do sometimes.

Lovely Video Story...

All about my boyfriend. Perhaps only those who like New Kids will want to watch, but I'm not going stop the rest of you from checking it out.

I'm Your Biggest Fan

Lady Gaga opened for New Kids, and I really loved her. Her show was very much like Alice Cooper's. Very vaudeville. It was a beautiful thing. Since then I've been listening to her music a lot, but I really like this one.

But this photo of us
It don't have a price
Ready for those flashing lights
'Cause you know that baby I

I'm your biggest fan
I'll follow you until you love me
Baby there's no other superstar
You know that I'll be your

Promise I'll be kind
But I won't stop until that boy is mine
Baby you'll be famous
Chase you down until you love me

I'll be your girl
Backstage at your show
Velvet ropes and guitars
Yeah cause you're my rockstar
Iin between the sets
Eyeliner and cigarettes

Yes, I get that I'm a little...hmm...intense? I think it's poetic that I first heard this song at a New Kids concert.

Corina's First Recital

What a brave girl! She didn't even look nervous. I'm so proud of her.

She was the first one to sing out of a very long program of 34 performers. It was quite a gong show really...kinda sad. But Corina did a great job.

I think next year it would be good to have the kids use the microphone...

Cover Girl in Mexico with Donnie and Joe

In the olden days, Donnie used to bring a little girl up on stage and sing to her for Cover Girl. This time around he has sexy grown up ladies on stage with him. I don't prefer it, but whatever.

This is from one of the shows in Mexico they just did. At this part, each of the girls comes up and dances for Donnie, trying to impress him. It's pretty cute. They changed it up a bit for this show, though.

If you don't want to watch the whole thing, start watching at 1:00

Yes, that was Joe. I love it.

This has been making me giggle for about ten minutes now, and I pretty much never giggle.
I think I'm even blushing.

Good Clean Pokemon Fun for Kids

Donnie and Max in Edmonton

A girl in Edmonton took a picture of Donnie at the exact moment he was doing this very cute smile at Max. Thanks to the creepy network of New Kids fans, I now have the picture. Yay! I love it.
The picture is from 35 seconds into my video, right after he makes the cool guy face and then winks at Max. See for yourself. SEE IT!
